Have your kids ever made a volcano?
It seems every year we find a reason to break out the vinegar, baking soda, and red food coloring for more volcano activities.

We have used volcano activities to add extra fun to our earth science lessons, and to our ancient history studies of the city of Pompeii. We even made a volcano when our book club read Journey to the Center of the Earth .
During our middle and high school geography lessons with North Star Geography we learned about the four forms of orogenesis (the process of making new mountains), including:
- Plate convergence
- Subduction
- Obduction
- Volcanic activity
There are so many reasons to have some fun with a volcano activity!
